Hi, I'm Stéphanie
I'm the owner of Tanzo. I chose to change direction and commit fully to this project, because I truly believe dogs and their people in Québec deserve gear that's reliable, comfortable, responsible and made for real life.
Our dogs are loyal. Their gear should be too.
When I took over Tanzo, I didn't just want to keep a dog gear shop running. I wanted to build a real Québec brand: solid, human, structured and ambitious. A brand that doesn't stop at the sale, that supports you, and that champions local dog professionals.
We own our ambition: to become Québec's go-to reference for everything dog. Proudly, but with all four paws on the ground.
Since the takeover, Tanzo keeps growing

We're growing, but we never want to lose what makes us strong: care, closeness, quality and the people behind every product. Every order that leaves the workshop carries a little of our work, our standards and our pride.
Tempête, the dog behind the mission
Tempête, my red golden, is by my side day and night. He's the spark behind Tanzo. The official tester. The not-always-subtle coworker. The constant reminder that dog gear should look good, yes, but above all be reliable, comfortable and ready for real life.
With him, nothing stays clean for long. Our gear goes through snow, mud, water, trails, training sessions, long walks, and days when a single squirrel can derail an entire outing.
Tempête reminds us that a collar, a leash or a harness isn't just about holding on to a dog. It's part of the bond, the routine, the learning and the story you write together.
Handmade, one at a time, in Mascouche
At Tanzo, nothing is mass-produced in an anonymous factory. Every collar, leash, harness, recall long line and martingale is handmade in our workshop, with intention.
Making everything locally lets us control quality, materials and the details that make the difference. Buying from Tanzo supports a local team instead of an imported product with no story, no advice and no real human service behind it.
Why Biothane?
Dogs here don't live in a clean, dry catalogue. Autumn rain, slush, salted sidewalks, muddy trails, lake swims: we chose the material that keeps up.
Nylon
Light and affordable, but it soaks up water, holds odours and gets unpleasant once wet or dirty.
Leather
Durable and classic, but it needs upkeep, doesn't like water and isn't ideal for dogs that swim.
Biothane
Waterproof, odour-free, rinses clean in seconds and stays good-looking for years. Our choice for real life here.
Tools that guide, not break
We believe in kindness before force, connection before control. You'll never find prong, choke or shock collars here.
We choose tools that build trust, not fear, and we work with local dog professionals. Because gear never replaces the relationship. It should support it.

Who is behind Créations Tanzo?
Créations Tanzo is owned by Stéphanie, who took over the brand to run it full-time, and a local team in Mascouche, Québec. Her red golden, Tempête, is the official tester of every new product.
Where is Tanzo dog gear made?
All Créations Tanzo gear is handmade in our workshop in Mascouche, Québec, Canada. We cut, punch, assemble, rivet and inspect every piece here, then ship across Canada.
Why does Tanzo use Biothane?
Because Biothane is waterproof, never holds odours and rinses clean in seconds, which makes it ideal for Canadian weather. Unlike nylon it doesn't stay soaked, and unlike leather it isn't bothered by water or slush.
Is Tanzo gear made for Canadian winters?
Yes. Créations Tanzo products are designed for snow, slush, road salt, rain, mud and cold. They're tested outdoors in every kind of weather by Tempête, our official tester.
Can Tanzo help me choose the right size?
Yes. The Créations Tanzo team helps you choose the right size and model before you order. We'd rather help you choose well than leave you guessing. Write to us.
Is Tanzo gear indestructible?
No, and we'd rather be honest: no dog accessory is indestructible. Biothane is very durable, but it should be checked regularly, especially if your dog chews. That's why we rely on strong materials, honest advice and a team that answers.
