What is a Martingale collar? It's a clipless collar that goes over your dog's head. It consists of two parts, attached together by metal sliders. The larger part goes around your dog's neck. The smaller part is used to adjust the collar when walking on a leash. A martingale is an extremely useful training tool when walking on a leash. With the Martingale collar, your dog never feels obligated to follow its owner, but rather encouraged to follow when the smaller part of the collar tightens with the leash. It's used for training with positive reinforcement methods. For people who have dogs prone to running away or who want to remove their collar, the martingale will stay in place, and so will your dog!
The design in the photo may vary slightly on your necklace. All our necklaces are unique and handmade in Quebec!
For the medium and large sizes, we have two widths available. The narrower ones are suitable for younger or short-haired dogs, while the wider ones are preferable if you have a more mature and/or long-haired dog, as this way the collar is much more visible.
Please note that the collars are not designed for a dog to be permanently tied up; they are designed for training and walking.
Care instructions: Machine washable, dry flat.

Black hardware is hands-down our most popular finish, loved for its sleek, modern look.
However, it’s helpful to know that it features a painted finish. Over time, everyday friction (from ID tags, leash snaps, hard surfaces, or sand) can cause normal cosmetic wear or minor chipping.
👉 This wear is entirely cosmetic and won't affect the product's strength, durability, or safety.
If you're looking for a finish that keeps its flawless look over the long haul, we also offer:

These options won’t chip and are naturally resistant to visual wear and tear.

⚠️ Important: The TPU layer is not chew-proof. Just like traditional nylon or leather leashes and long lines, it can easily be damaged if your pup chews on it.
Because of this, never allow your dog to chew on their lead, and never leave them tethered unsupervised. If a dog happens to run off while dragging a long line, they need to be able to get loose in an emergency.
