Choose your hardware
For maximum durability, especially if your dog swims, gets very dirty or if your gear is often exposed to water, sand, mud or salt, stainless steel is the best choice.
It's the most resistant option to moisture, wear and outdoor conditions.
Black hardware is our most popular finish for its modern look. It's beautiful, but keep in mind that it's a painted finish.
With rubbing, tags, snaps, sand or abrasion, the paint can chip over time. If the piece then stays exposed to water or moisture for a long time, small rust spots may appear.
Our gear is made for real life outdoors, when it's time to be outdoors. To make it last for years: avoid leaving it outside permanently, don't leave it lying on the ground unnecessarily, and hang it up to dry after big outings.

Low-maintenance & long-lasting

Our Biothane gear gets its shine back in seconds, with no odour and no effort. Waterproof, durable and handmade in Canada, it's ready for all your next adventures.
As for hardware, our parts are chosen for their strength and durability. But like any mechanism used in real life — a snap, a carabiner, a hinge or a gear — they need a little maintenance to keep working smoothly for years.
After outings in sand, mud, snow, salt or water, it's normal for a snap to collect small debris and close less smoothly if it's never cleaned. They're not magic parts: they're good parts, but they live outdoors with your dog.
To extend their life, rinse the hardware with clean water after big outings. Use a stronger stream of water if sand, salt or mud is stuck in the mechanism. Let it dry completely, then use compressed air if needed to remove residue. A small drop of metal-safe lubricant can also help if the mechanism becomes less smooth.
Always inspect snaps before use. Simple maintenance, done at the right time, helps your gear stay beautiful, safe and enjoyable to use for a long time.

⚠️ Important: The TPU layer is not chew-proof. Just like traditional nylon or leather leashes and long lines, it can easily be damaged if your pup chews on it.
Because of this, never allow your dog to chew on their lead, and never leave them tethered unsupervised. If a dog happens to run off while dragging a long line, they need to be able to get loose in an emergency.
✔️ BioThane is built for outdoor adventures—not for chewing. If the webbing becomes damaged, we highly recommend replacing it to ensure your dog’s safety.

Je l'aime bien mais je la trouve lourde... et j'ai fait ma commande par téléphone et je n'ai pas reçu la couleur que je pensais avoir commandé... mais somme toute je l'apprécie quand même.

La longe a brisé à peine 24 heures après l'avoir reçu. Très décevant à 80$ la longe, je m'attendais à beaucoup plus. Très mauvais service à la clientèle

En plus de notre garantie pour défauts de fabrication, nous offrons la réparation sans frais de matériel ni main d'oeuvre lorsqu'il s'agit d'un accident. Nous demandons seulement au client d'assumer les frais de transport, ce qui, sur le marché... est pratiquement inexistant.
Mais nous le faisons, parce que nous croyons en la durabilité de nos produits et la sécurité de vos chiens.
Vous avez décidé de terminer la discussion en disant que notre service était décevant avant même de nous laisser vous exposer les options qui s'offraient à vous, et nous avez mentionné préféré lui remettre sa laisse ''cheap'' à 10$.

Légère mais solide et surtout facile à nettoyer.
Une idée qui pourrait être intéressante et d’y mettre quelques noeuds (ou autres), ainsi si l’on doit y mettre le pied lorsque l’on la laisse traîner par terre ça aide à arrêter le chien sans que cela glisse sous le pied ☺️
