Adjustable leash, 4 to 7 feet

Perfect for:City walksExploring the parkPuppies in training
How to
1Clip the dog-side snap to your dog's harness.
2Choose your length with the slider (the small piece of Biothane with a D-ring): slide it between the quick connect handle and the traffic handle, from 4 to 7 feet.
3Hold the handle, keeping the leash nice and loose.
Practical tip: does your dog love to sniff and explore? To give them even more freedom safely, at the park or on the trail, switch to the 20-foot long line. See the 20 ft long line →

Quick connect handle

Perfect for:PatiosCampingCoffee breaks
How to
1Wrap it around a solid post or a heavy table leg.
2Clip the snap to the quick connect handle to close the loop.
3Pull gently to make sure it's securely closed and the post doesn't move.
Practical tip: bring a mat or a towel. A spot of their own to lie down helps your dog stay calm while you enjoy your coffee.

Waist leash

Perfect for:JoggingStrollersFull hands
How to
1Wrap the leash around your waist.
2Clip the snap to form a belt and adjust it with the slider, without tightening.
3Attach the other end to your dog's harness.
Practical tip: keep this mode for dogs who already walk without pulling. If your dog still pulls, holding the leash by hand gives you more control.

Crossbody leash

Perfect for:HikingLong walksKeeping the leash on you
How to
1Form the large loop as for the waist position.
2Put it over one shoulder, diagonally across your chest.
3Attach your dog, or keep the leash on you if they're off leash in a permitted area.
Practical tip: worn crossbody, any pull is spread across your chest instead of your hips. More stable if your dog is strong.

Traffic handle

Perfect for:Meeting another dogCrossing a streetAt the vet's
How to
1Keep the leash at your waist or crossbody.
2Grab the traffic handle, close to your dog, to keep them right beside you.
3Let go as soon as the situation has passed.
Practical tip: a dog held short all the time becomes tense. Use the handle for a few seconds when needed, and reward your dog when they stay calm beside you.
Safety

4 rules before you head out

Use a harness

In hands-free mode, attach your dog to a harness rather than a collar: a sudden jerk won't pull on their neck.

Never left tied alone

When tied to a post, your dog always stays under your supervision.

Check your gear

Before every outing: snaps securely closed, slider and D-ring in good condition.

Easy care

Biothane is waterproof: a little soapy water, rinse, and it's clean.
