What products are included in the Hunting Season Collection?

The collection includes camo and woodland dog collars available in quick-release clip and martingale styles. Matching dog leashes are also available to create a complete set.
What is the difference between a martingale collar and a quick-release dog collar?

A quick-release dog collar has a detachable buckle that makes it easy to put on and remove. A martingale collar slips over the dog’s head and features a second loop that creates limited tightening when the leash becomes tense. When properly fitted, it can help reduce the risk of a dog backing out of the collar.
Is a clip dog collar the same as a quick-release dog collar?

Yes. “Clip dog collar,” “quick-release dog collar” and “buckle dog collar” are commonly used for collars with a detachable side-release buckle. Tanzo’s clip collars are adjustable and easy to put on and remove.
Can a martingale collar help teach loose-leash walking?

A martingale collar can be used as part of loose-leash walking training, but it does not teach the behaviour on its own. Your dog must be clearly taught what to do when the leash becomes tense—slow down, return to you or create slack—and then be rewarded for that behaviour. Relying only on tightening or discomfort to stop pulling does not teach the dog what is expected and is not how we recommend using this tool.
How do I measure my dog for a collar?

Measure a collar that already fits your dog or place a string gently around the dog’s neck, then measure the string with a measuring tape. Once adjusted, the collar should allow two fingers to fit comfortably between the collar and your dog’s neck.
Which dog collar width should I choose?

Narrower collars generally suit smaller dogs and dogs with short coats. Wider collars stand out more on dogs with long or thick fur. Medium collars are available in 1-inch and 1.5-inch widths, while Large collars are available in 1.5-inch and 2-inch widths.
What are Tanzo camo dog collars made from?

Our collars are made with quality cotton fabric sewn over strong polypropylene webbing. They also feature welded metal rings and either a water-resistant synthetic leather label or an embroidered label, depending on the design.
Are the fabric dog collars machine washable?

Yes. Tanzo fabric collars and matching leashes are machine washable. We recommend laying them flat to dry to help preserve the fabric, shape and metal hardware.
Do these collars replace high-visibility hunting gear?

No. The camouflage patterns are decorative and do not replace proper safety or high-visibility equipment. During hunting season or woodland activities, add a highly visible blaze-orange accessory and follow the safety requirements for your area.
Where are the collars made, and are they in stock?

The collars and leashes in our Hunting Season Collection are handmade in our workshop in Mascouche, Canada. Every item available for purchase on our website is in stock and the packages are usually prepared within 24 to 48 hours.
