It is a collar without clip that goes over your dog’s head. It is made up of 2 parts, attached together by metal slides. Most of it is the one that goes around your dog’s neck. The smaller part is used to adjust the collar when walking on a leash.

The martingale collar is an extremely useful working tool when walking on a leash. With the martingale, your dog never feels an obligation to follow his master, but an invitation to follow when the small part of the collar is stretched with the leash. For people who have dogs that escape or want to remove their collar, the martingale will stay in place and your dog will too!

For the regular clip collar, measure your dog’s neck with a soft tape, and add 2cm to the measurement to ensure your dog is comfortable. For the Martingale collar, as this one goes over the dog’s head, be sure to measure the head from the ears, down to below the neck so that the collar can be slipped around your dog’s neck. This will give you the maximum size needed for your dog. (Except for greyhounds and those types of dogs that have heads smaller than their necks, at this time, measure your dog’s neck directly without squeezing the measurement, leaving 2 fingers space). Refer to the chart to make your choice of size. When you put the collar on your dog, adjust it around the dog’s neck, loosely, so that it is comfortable.
